“Following Higher Surgical Training in the UK, Dr. P. Raghu Ram relocated to India in 2007 to care for his mother diagnosed with breast cancer, and dedicated his life's work to raising breast health awareness across his motherland.”

Dr. Ushalakshmi was a renowned gynaecologist and a resilient breast cancer survivor. Her journey inspired the creation of the Ushalakshmi Breast Cancer Foundation, a registered charity that has since conducted over 2,000 awareness campaigns, published Pink Connexion magazine, and reached millions of people across India.

Ushalakshmi Breast Cancer Foundation was founded as a serious, hospital-grade, yet warm and compassionate organization to advocate early detection and break the taboos surrounding breast cancer in India.

Inspired by Dr. Ushalakshmi's fight, the foundation translates medical jargon into plain language, offering hope, survivor counseling, and community-centric campaigns.
